2008 SCHEDULE AND GENERAL RULES


***All classes are open to any amateur gardener.
***Entries will be received on Saturday Aug. 16th from 0730-1030 am.
***Exhibits must be picked up PROMPTLY on Sunday, August 17th at 4:00 PM.
***The Sou’Wester Garden Club will exercise due care to protect the exhibits, but will not be responsible for loss or damage.



HORTICULTURE

***Plant material must be fresh and have been grown by the exhibitor.
***An exhibitor may make any number of entries in each class or sub-class proving that each is a different variety or color.
***All horticulture specimens must be labeled.
***Potted plants must have been in the possession of the exhibitor for at least three months
.

DESIGN


***All exhibits must contain some plant materials, fresh and/or dried.
***Only one exhibit is permitted by an exhibitor in each class.
***Plant material need not have been grown by the exhibitor.
***Space allowed per entry is a maximum of 24 inches wide by 15 inches deep on tables, unless otherwise specified.
***accessories may be used.


Photography

Photographs are not to exceed 8” by 10” (does not include matte)--may be matted but NOT framed.....and must be an actual work of the exhibitor.


***CLASSES

*****1 A Garden.
*****2 A Garden Gate (A photograph of a Garden Gate).
*****3 A Garden Close
-Up (A photograph of a single bloom, leaf, or other aspect).
